Providing preventative health care for your cat will allow your cat to live a longer more comfortable life. However, that can't happen unless you are able to bring your cat in for the wellness exams and preventative care that it needs. Taking your cat to the veterinarian can be stressful for both of you. To your cat, the process of entering an unfamiliar carrier, a scary car ride, a strange waiting room and then an examination can all be very stressful.
How to make going to the veterinarian easier
Spray the inside of the cat carrier (one spray in each corner and two sprays on the floor and ceiling) at least 15 minutes before use.
For extended stays (hospitalization or boarding), use a Feliway Diffuser at home for the cat's return.
Using a Feliway Diffuser will also help other cats in a multi-cat household, as the returning pet may be unrecognizable by smelling and/or looking different (bandages, collar, etc.).
